CALLING ALL CAT PARENTS WITH EXQUISITE TASTE…

Why Amazon Cat Trees Fail To Satisfy Your Cat's Territorial Needs (and How We Solved It!)

Plus, We Reveal:

• The Japanese design principle used to create cat furniture that doubles as art

• Which aircraft-grade material we used that lasts 10x longer than typical cat trees

Cats spend an astounding 70% of their lives sleeping – that’s 12 to 16 hours a day.

As predators, they use these rest periods to conserve energy, even if your indoor cat’s idea of “hunting” is chasing a laser pointer.

In the wild, cats seek high vantage points as resting places, so they can survey their territory and avoid other predators (such as coyotes).

They need elevated space to feel secure, especially when they sleep.

Unfortunately, our modern homes lack the elevated resting places and climbing opportunities that cats crave.

Cat trees are a common way for caring cat parents to add these vertical spaces.

However, Amazon cat trees are unstable and progressively more wobbly at higher perches.

After a cat tree wobbles even once, that negative experience becomes permanently associated with that sleeping spot.

In order to feel secure, cats require rock-solid resting places elevated away from foot traffic, kids, and other pets.

As a cat behaviorist with over 16 years of experience, I’ve observed that cats have an exceptional memory for unsafe spaces.

Chronic stress from unstable perches could seriously impact a cat’s lifespan and overall health, especially because they spend so much time sleeping.

In multi-cat households, the competition for elevated spaces is intense.

Cats instinctively seek the highest vantage point, leading to territorial disputes when limited options exist.

Traditional cat trees offer just one apex spot, forcing subordinate cats to settle for less desirable positions or abandon the tree entirely.

This social stress can trigger behavioral issues like  inappropriate marking or aggression.

How Cheap Trees Fail Your Home and Our Planet

Most manufacturers use flimsy materials like compressed cardboard and low-grade plastics. These budget trees become an eyesore and start sagging within just a couple of months

In just a year or two, they will be wobbly, worn, and falling apart…

Not only does the manufacturing process leach micro-plastics into our environment, these cheap and disposable cat trees create a tremendous amount of waste.

Most cat trees are destined for the landfill after just one accident. Why? Because their cheap, glued-on carpet traps pet stains, smells, and bacteria. One mishap, one hairball, and it’s junk.

Pet related products account for roughly 4.7-5 million tons of landfill waste per year, or about 3.5% of total U.S. landfill waste.

Magnets for Dust, Allergen and Odor

When these cat trees enter your home, their porous surfaces and rough carpets become collection points for allergens.

In my practice, I regularly see respiratory issues in both cats and owners because these cheap materials trap dander, dust, and hair in ways that make thorough cleaning impossible.

Katpole: The Revolution in Cat Tree Design

That’s why I was immediately impressed when I discovered Katpole’s revolutionary approach to cat furniture.

Every material and component is selected for easy cleaning and maximum longevity.

Katpole’s durable design is actually incredibly eco-friendly. Although costlier to manufacture, Katpole creates virtually no waste—it’s built to last and designed to be maintained, not replaced.

It truly is the last cat tree you will ever buy.

Every EcoWeave™ scratch module is designed to be easily replaceable.

Katpole's FastClip™ system allows you to replace a scratch pad in seconds.

The first parts to wear out on a cat tree are typically its scratching surfaces.

Unlike the permanently attached carpets of cheaper cat trees, Katpole’s replaceable scratch carpets use a proprietary blend of EcoWeave™ materials that greatly outlasts the rough sisal rope used in other cat trees.

These scratch carpets are super easy to vacuum and are machine washable, making quick work of dust and allergens

Should they begin to wear out, they can be swapped out in two seconds using Katpole’s unique FastClip system

In fact, all of Katpole’s parts are replaceable, waterproof, and easy to clean.

It’s the first cat tree I’ve seen that could genuinely last a lifetime.

Working with a structural engineer, Katpole’s team chose aircraft-grade aluminum for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.

This means your cat will never experience that terrifying wobble that makes them distrust their perch.

And each engineered wood platform can support up to 40 pounds while remaining lightweight and elegantly thin.

Finished with furniture grade vinyl, the platforms are 100% waterproof, ensuring they never stain

Plus, unlike plastics and compressed cardboard, Katpole’s surfaces are completely impervious to odors and allergens at the molecular level, keeping them looking and smelling brand new—forever.

I was also impressed by Katpole’s strength and stability.

Instead of relying on a cardboard base like traditional cat trees, they engineered a unique floor-to-ceiling stabilization system using the same kind of tension bolt that is used in construction scaffolding.

When combined with the high rigidity aluminum core the results are remarkable:

  • Zero Wobble, even with multiple large Maine Coon cats climbing simultaneously.
  • 2.6x smaller footprint than traditional cat trees.
  • Easy installation with no drilling or wall damage.

Unmatched Comfort For Your Cats

Katpole solves the competition for the apex perch in multi-cat households with its modular hammock design.

You can place up to two perches at the same 8-foot height, eliminating the vertical hierarchy that causes territorial disputes

Each cat can claim their own elevated space with clear sightlines, maintaining the perfect balance of friendly proximity and personal territory – finally eliminating the chronic stress your cats are experiencing.

But the innovation goes beyond just height equality.

Have you noticed how cats instinctively rest their heads on edges while sleeping?

This isn’t just an adorable habit – it’s deeply rooted in their survival instincts.

When cats rest their heads while maintaining a relaxed position, they can conserve energy while staying semi-alert to their surroundings.

This position also allows their neck and head muscles to fully relax, allowing for deeper, more restorative rest.

We designed Katpole’s hammock with a specially contoured edge that provides the perfect chin-rest your cats crave

Unlike traditional hard-bottom perches, our soft hammock design cradles your cat’s body in a way that mimics the comfort they felt in their mother’s nest.

This natural, womb-like support, combined with an unobstructed panoramic view from an 8 feet height, creates the ultimate sleeping sanctuary for your little hunter.

Given that cats spend 70% of their lives sleeping, shouldn’t that time be spent in absolute comfort and security?

Minimalist Aesthetic to Complement your Living Space

Katpole’s structure draws from the Japanese design principle “Ma (間) the conscious use of negative space and thoughtful placement.

Unlike bulky traditional cat trees that block windows and cast shadows, Katpole’s slim profile and minimalist frame maintains natural light flow.

When placed near a window, its open design frames the view rather than obstructing it, creating an elevated lookout for your cat without sacrificing your connection to the outdoors

The clean lines and premium wood finishes seamlessly blend with modern home decor.

Compared to ordinary cat trees, Katpole’s narrow silhouette lets in plenty of natural light.

If you think about it, a cat tree is usually the second largest furniture in your room besides a sofa or bed.

This means its look and feel really affects the overall feel of your room.

Designer sofas and beds cost tens of thousands of dollars, but you happily curate them to enhance the mood and feel of the rooms you spend many hours in.

People spend an average of 60% of their life at home (even more for those who work remotely, retirees, or individuals with home-based lifestyles).

For most, the home is where they sleep, relax, and spend quality time, making it the central part of their lives.

A cheap cat tree from Amazon in the same space detracts from your meticulous interior design. How much is the overall aesthetic of your house worth to you?

Our cat furniture is designed to seamlessly blend with your home’s aesthetic while meeting your cats’ needs.

Choose from two elegant wood finishes and two carpet color options to perfectly complement your decor.

The truly innovative feature is the modular design – each level can accommodate up to two platforms or hammocks, allowing you to customize the arrangement to your cats’ preferences.

This means if you have multiple cats who all want the coveted top spot, you can place two hammocks at the highest level, letting you create the ideal configuration for your feline family.

When my friends came over for afternoon tea the day after I set up Katpole, they complimented me on how clean and bright my living room looked.

As I walked out, I saw my cat lounging lazily in the hammock, sunlight streaking across his content looking face. Finally, I thought… a cat tree that satisfies both form and function.

Easy Modular Installation

Katpole is designed to be extremely easy to install and take apart if you ever have to move:

🔧 No screwing or drilling required because Katpole’s unique tension bolt system secures it from floor to ceiling without the need of any screws.

After seeing how much my cat loved his new perch—and how beautifully it blended into my home—I knew I had made the right choice.

But here’s the thing…

Unlike mass-produced, low-quality cat trees that fall apart in months, Katpole is made with premium materials and expert engineering—which means it isn’t something you’ll find anywhere else.

It’s not available on Amazon, or Chewy, or Walmart, or any pet store.

Why?

Because we simply cannot produce enough. Building such high-quality cat furniture isn’t easy.

Reviews

Are you never quite satisfied with your cat tree?

Do your cats fight over the best perch?

Have you long given up on keeping your cat tree looking clean and new?

Wish your cat tree looked as stylish as the rest of your home?

Well, you’re not alone.

After analyzing over 1000 US Amazon reviews, we discovered that countless cat tree buyers reported their purchase became damaged or dirty within the first year – forcing them to either live with an eyesore or settle for yet another unattractive replacement.

With Katpole, you get at least 10 years of use and a beautiful product which is far better for your cat’s health and happiness.

FAQs

You must have a flat ceiling because the ceiling hardware require a flat surface to create sufficient tension. This means vaulted, dome, coved, cathedral, shed/sloped ceilings, are not supported unless you have a flat area of at least 1 ft2 (30 cm2). Popcorn ceilings are okay. Please also note the ceiling height requirements below.

Your ceiling height must be between 7 ft 5 inches to 10 ft (226 – 304 cm) and flat. This covers the vast majority of residential ceilings around the world. Standard ceiling height in North America is 8 feet.

Your Katpole will come with the required tools, including a wrench and gloves. We do recommend having a step ladder or a stool that can help you reach the ceiling. If you have ever changed the light bulbs around your house, you’ll most likely be able to install Katpole yourself.

Katpole is designed as a full aluminum tension pole. Therefore, the entire structure requires no permanent attachments to your floor or ceiling. We also made sure it’s easy to take apart and repack so you can take it with you if you move.

We will launch our product on Kickstarter in a couple of months. If you reserve a discount, you will be able to claim it on Day 1. We will email you a week before and on launch day to let you know it’s starting. The campaign will last 30 days and as it’s concluding we will begin manufacturing. Katpoles will be delivered a couple months after that.
