Step 1.

Please check if you have all the following parts in your package.

Note 1: No extension pole in sets for ceiling heights up until 8' 9".
Note 2: There are 5 wooden platforms in sets for ceiling heights greater than 8'10".

If you are missing parts, please contact us using the button below.

Step 2.

Carefully turn clockwise to tighten the base pole into the wooden floor base. Do not cross thread and make sure the bottom of the pole is flush with the surface of the floor base. Continue to hand tighten until you can no longer turn it clockwise.

DO NOT USE TOOLS to tighten any of the poles. Excessive force will strip the threads!

Step 3.

Extend the ceiling adjustable bolt by rotating the bolt until it’s about 2 inches (5cm) from your ceiling. Slide in the wooden ceiling support piece, the 4 antislip pads should be facing your ceiling.

Hand rotate the adjustable bolt until the ceiling support touches your ceiling. Use the included wrench to tighten the hex nut slowly. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN as this may lead to damage to your ceiling.

Ask your partner to step back and check the pole is straight. Check stability by asking your partner to shake the pole, if the floor base or ceiling support moves, then you should tighten further. The pole will never be perfectly rigid, some flex from side to side is completely normal. As long as the floor and ceiling support does not move, the pole is secure for your cat(s).

Step 4.

All platform carpets can be easily attached via 6 clip in buttons. Pole carpets can be attached by velcro.
Please note the pole carpet size will match the pole length.

Step 5.

We strongly recommend doing these safety checks once a month.

1) Visually inspect the pole is straight. The angle of the pole should be 90 degrees relative to the floor and ceiling.
2) Use medium force and shake the pole when your cat(s) are off. Ensure the floor and ceiling supports do not move! Tighten the ceiling bolt if there is movement.

Safety FAQ

Q. My pole and platforms are shaky? What should I do?

There will always be some degree of flex of the pole, this is normal. HOWEVER, please ensure the floor base and ceiling support STAYS IN PLACE if you shake the pole with some force. As long as the top and bottom pieces do not move, the entire structure will be secure. If the floor or ceiling piece moves, you must tighten the nut for the ceiling support or make sure the bottom pole is properly screwed into the floor base. Please click here to see the installation instructions.

Q. Can I let my dogs climb the pole?

No! Please do not let your dogs climb the pole. This item is only designed for cats. Dogs can be injured if they fall from high places.

Q. Do I need to train my cats to use the pole?

Most cats will naturally know how to use the pole. They will typically try to climb up to the highest point by themselves. Some cats will be content with a lower position platform, this depends on your cat's personality. Some cats may require some small incentive to climb up in the beginning. You can try placing a few treats at different levels of the pole to incentivize them to explore 🙂

Q. My toddler is climbing the pole, what should i do?

Please fence off or take apart the pole if your toddler is attempting to climb it. This can lead to serious injuries as the pole extends all the way to the ceiling. The pole was designed to support cats only.
